Can Not Find Fileserver is usually directly related to connection issues between your back of house computer and your terminal(s). This could be as a result of any number of issues, such as:

 

  • There’s a wire loose…
    RESOLUTION: Check all your cables. Check the cables into the terminal. Check the cables into the switch, from the terminal into the back of house computer. 

  • The switch or a port on the switch may have gone bad.
    RESOLUTION: Switches have a life expectancy, and when they go bad they give you very little warning. Check to make sure your switch is fully functioning. And, if you have the know-how…ping each terminal to make sure you can get a sold ping from the BOH computer.

 

  • Still no luck?
    RESOLUTION: Most likely the issue is physical-related…but if you’ve checked all the cables, connections and wires and you’re still having no luck…give us a call at 855-379-0779 or email us at support@possupportnow.com.
